Even if the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Act has continued to be a controversial topic amongst politicians and professionals alike, there is no denying the fact that compliance is mandatory. The objective of the CPD Act is to enhance the knowledge of professionals by attending accredited seminars and events. These seminars are equal to CPD points which professionals of multiple fields must collect if they wish to renew their Professional Regulation Commission (PCR) License.
However, there is some good news. The required CPD credits just went down from 45 points to 15, requiring professionals to attend one or two seminars during the year for them to be able to complete their renewal requirements. Earning CPD credits is tough given how much seminars cost. While there are a few other alternatives to earning CPD points, attending any of the listed events above should be enough to get your mind off of the requirements next year.
