There are several different types of construction materials such as cement, sand, steel rods, nails, plywood and fine and coarse aggregates. Carefully  choose the materials used in its construction to ensure the building’s safety and prolonged strength.

1. Cement

Cement is a critical material used in buildings, residential structures, bridges, harbors, runways, and roads. It endures a chemical process known as “setting” to join cement with other materials.

2. Fine Aggregate

Fine aggregate is an essential component of concrete made up of natural sand or crushed stone. The hardened properties of concrete are heavily influenced by the quality and fine aggregate density.

3. Gravel

Roads and driveways are the most common applications for the material when gravel is purchased in bulk. 

Gravel can be used in landscaping projects both as a functional and as a decorative element. It’s a great alternative to mulch and patio pavers because it drains so well in garden beds.

4. Concrete Nails

Concrete nails are a must-have for construction workers and do-it-yourselfers alike. Wood to masonry connections are made with concrete nails.

These nails are harder than that of other kinds of nails. This product has exceptional holding power. They’re not easily bent or cracked. They’re available with a variety of different head shapes and sizes, such as a square or a round flat head.

There are several different types of shanks, such as smooth, twilled, twisted, and ring shanks.

5. Coco Lumber

The majority of the demand for coconut lumber comes from the construction industry.

Coconut lumber is used in large quantities as scaffolding and form lumber in the construction of tall buildings. Coconut lumber that has been carefully selected and graded is also used in the construction of house posts, girders, trusses, door jambs, and exterior siding.

6. Plywood

Plywood is a popular construction material due to its numerous beneficial properties. The construction industry utilizes plywood in a wide variety of ways. Formwork or a mould for wet concrete are some of its most common uses, as are the creation of light partitions or external walls, as well as furniture such as cupboards, kitchen cabinets, and office tables.

7. Steel Bar

To help and strengthen concrete, reinforcement bars are steel rods used as tension in reinforced masonry structures and in reinforced concrete.

8. PVC

PVC pipes are made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), a plastic-vinyl compound. As an alternative to more expensive copper piping, these popular pipe types are widely used in the plumbing industry. Electrical conduits are also made of PVC.

9. Light Bulbs

For a wide range of fixtures with different bases and considerations, lamp light bulbs, which are commonly referred to as light bulbs in the industry, come in numerous sizes, shapes, and temperatures (colors). Since traditional incandescent bulbs were gradually withdrawn from the market and replaced by energy-saving bulbs, the light bulb market has undergone changes.

10. Drymix

These are high-performance, polymer-modified mortars formulated for internal and external applications. They are ready-mixed and only need the addition of water in their applications. These mortars have a shelf life of 1 year of manufacture when stored properly.
