IATF Releases Alert Level Classification for May 16 to 31

Following its approval, the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) has announced several changes in Alert Levels across the country. While a chunk of the country will remain under Alert Level 1, a couple of cities, provinces, and municipalities have been placed under Alert Level 2. 

Note areas under the IATF Resolution Nos. 165-G, 166-A, 167-A, and 167-C (s. 2022) are not affected by this Resolution and will remain effective until May 31, 2022. 

The following municipalities, provinces, cities, and component cities will be placed under Alert Level 2, from May 16, 2022, to May 31, 2022. This is without prejudice to the municipalities, which might be under a different classification before the announcement: 

Luzon

• Cordillera Administrative Region: Benguet, Ifugao
• Region IV-A: Quezon Province
• Region IV-B: Occidental Mindoro, Palawan
• Region V: Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Masbate, Sorsogon

Visayas 

• Region VI: Antique, Negros Occidental
• Region VII: Bohol, Cebu Province, Negros Oriental
• Region VIII: Leyte, Northern Samar, Western Samar

Mindanao

• • Region IX: City of Isabela, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga Sibugay
  • Region X: Lanao del Norte
  • Region XI: Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao Occidental
  • Region XII: General Santos City, North Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato
  • CARAGA: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte
• Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao: Basilan, Cotabato City, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi

Meanwhile, Alert Level 1 will be kept for the entire National Capital Region from May 16, 2022, until May 31, 2022. 

Apart from that, the following cities and municipalities will also remain under Alert Level 1 in the same period: 

Luzon

• Cordillera Administrative Region: Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Baguio City
• Region I: Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Dagupan City
• Region II: Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, City of Santiago
• Region III: Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Angeles City, Olongapo City
• Region IV-A: Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Lucena City
• Region IV-B: Marinduque, Oriental Mindoro, Romblon, Puerto Princesa City
• Region V: Albay, Catanduanes, Naga City

Visayas

• Region VI: Aklan, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo, Bacolod City, Iloilo City
• Region VII: Siquijor, Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City
• Region VIII: Biliran, Eastern Samar, Southern Leyte, Ormoc City, Tacloban City

Mindanao

• Region IX: Zamboanga City
• Region X: Bukidnon, Camiguin, Misamis Occidental, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan de Oro City, Iligan City
• Region XI: Davao City
• CARAGA: Surigao del Sur, Butuan City

Finally, the following provinces, cities, and municipalities will be placed under Alert Level 1 from May 16, 2022, to 31, 2022, without prejudice to the areas already under the Alert Level before the announcement: 

Luzon

• Cordillera Administrative Region: Kiangan, Ifugao
• Region V: Balud, Masbate; and Irosin, Sorsogon. 

Visayas

• Region VII: Calape, Bohol; Garcia Hernandez, Bohol; San Isidro, Bohol; San Miguel, Bohol; Alcoy, Cebu; Borbon, Cebu; Oslob, Cebu; Pilar, Cebu; Santander, Cebu; Tudela, Cebu; Bacong, Negros Oriental; Dauin, Negros Oriental; Valencia (Luzarriaga), Negros Oriental; and Zamboanguita, Negros Oriental
• Region VIII: Tarangnan, Samar; and Zumarraga, Samar

Mindanao

• Region IX: Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur; and, Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay
• Region XII: Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat
• Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao: Upi, Maguindanao
