The Increase of SLEX toll Fee Has Been Implemented By SMC

San Miguel Corp. (SMC), led by bilyonaryo, Ramon Ang, announced the change in its tollway division following clearance from the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB).

The second round of toll rate increases for the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) was being implemented starting Monday, August 19, 2024.

In order to address concerns about public welfare and lessen the impact of the toll hike, the TRB required the toll rate adjustment in two tranches. In November last year, the first tranche was being implemented. 

There will be additional fees for drivers going from Alabang to Calamba: PHP 10.00 for Class 1, PHP 20.00 for Class 2, and PHP 30.00 for Class 3. As a point of reference, the cost for Class 1 vehicles traveling from Alabang to Calamba and vice versa is currently PHP 116. Class 1 vehicles are being charged PHP 280 for people traveling to Calamba from Skyway in Buendia.

Meanwhile, for those heading from Calamba to Sto. Tomas, Batangas, will be required to pay an additional PHP 2.00, PHP 6.00, and PHP 8.00 for Classes 1, 2, and 3, respectively. Class 1 vehicles are now charged PHP 31 in this location, up from PHP 29 previously.
